Summary: There is nothing like spending a day in the snow with the one you love. Especially when it might lead to something more ...

Myungsoo was awoken at an ungodly hour of the morning by a loud, overly excited Sungyeol belly-flopping onto his bed and whacking him over the head with a pillow.

"MYUNGSOO GET OUT OF BED," Sungyeol screamed into the other's ear. Myungsoo groaned and rolled over, pulling the covers over his head in hopes of drowning the boy out. Sungyeol shook him back and forth, and tried in vain to rip the comforter out of Myungsoo's vice-like grip, whining the entire time that, "You need to get up and look, you need to get up and look, look, LOOK OUTSIDE!"

Myungsoo sighed, grumpily threw the blankets off himself (and over Sungyeol), and wandered over to the window to see what Sungyeol was making such a big deal out of. When he pulled back the curtains he was met with a swirling mess of white. Everything was white. A fresh blanket of snow had begun to fall through the night, and it was still going, huge flakes of it floating down from the sky.

Myungsoo felt a tug on his sleeve and turned to see Sungyeol, eyes wide, expecting, and sparkling. "Let's go outside, huh? I love the snow, Soo."

Myungsoo couldn't say no to that face, not when Sungyeol was looking so incredibly adorable. Sometimes it was hard to believe that he was younger than him.

The two of them donned their winter wear: hats, mittens, heavy parkas, and scarves and made their way out the door. Myungsoo secretly slipped his camera into his pocket, knowing that Sungyeol would protest if he knew he had it. He always got uncharacteristically shy when Myungsoo wanted to photograph him.

When they walked outside, the pair made their way down the road, Sungyeol running ahead and trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue, Myungsoo shivering and shoving his hands deeper into his pockets. Myungsoo let his eyes wander and take in the beauty around him. Winter, while being the coldest and harshest of the seaons, was still beautiful and enchanting in its own way. The trees coated in ice, the snow-covered fields glistening in the afternoon sun. Icicles so long you could rip them from the overhang of the roof without having to stand on anything to give you extra height.

When the two arrived at the snow covered park, Sungyeol threw himself into the nearest snowbank, laying on the mound spread-eagled while the snowflakes floated around him, landing on his nose creating a mini snowmound. Sungyeol swatted at the snow accumulating on his face and continued to lounge in the snow. Myungsoo quickly pulled his camera out of his pocket and snapped a photo, smiling at how content and innocent Sungyeol looked.

Sungyeol peeked an eye open. "Was that a camera I heard, Myungsoo?" he asked warily.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Myungsoo replied, taking a seat next to Sungyeol in the cold snow. Sungyeol stared at him for a bit, squinting his eyes as he obviously didn't believe him.

Then he pushed Myungsoo over, and the younger boy toppled over and over, rolling down the snowbank. He shot up, shooting Sungyeol a death-glare as the other doubled over in laughter. "Lee Sungyeol, have you made it your mission today to -" Sungyeol slid down the bank, crashed into Myungsoo, and pinned him against the cold snow. Sungyeol smiled slightly, brushing the snowflakes off Myungsoo's eyelashes and pecking him lightly on his lips (they were starting to turn blue).

"Make a snowman with me, Myungsoo!" He rolled off Myungsoo and set to work. He formed a snowball in his hands, set it on the ground, and proceeded to roll it and roll it around over the snowy ground. As the ball began to grow, Sungyeol shot Myungsoo a pointed glance over his shoulder, as if to say you WILL help me make this Myungsoo or so help me God -

Myungsoo sighed and got up to help, but not before snapping a quick picture of Sungyeol struggling to lift the second large ball of snow onto the first, breath coming in white clouds and cheeks flushed from the wind.

It took another hour to complete the snowman. They had been interrupted by Sungyeol throwing a handful of snow at the back of Myungsoo's head. Of course, Myungsoo had to retaliate, stuffing snow down the back of Sungyeol's jacket. This carried on until they accidentally knocked half of the jolly fellow over. When Sungyeol was trying to put it back together, Myungsoo took the oppurtunity to snap another photo.

When the two had finished the snowman (complete with sticks for arms, rocks for eyes, and an icicle for a nose), they stood back and admired their work. Sungyeol leaned his head on Myungsoo's shoulder, and Myungsoo intertwined their hands. They stood staring at their masterpiece for a while, long enough for the snow to start piling on their hats. Myungsoo tilted his head back, and took notice of the darkening sky.

"Come on, you. Let's head home."

Myungsoo sat in front of the warm fire, knees pulled up under his chin, humming along to the Christmas music Sungyeol had put on before Myungsoo had even had the chance to take his coat off. Sungyeol had then shooed him away to the living room and had forbidden him from stepping foot in the kitchen under any circumstances. Myungsoo stretched and grabbed a pillow from the couch, placing it under his head. He closed his eyes and replayed the day over again in his mind. Sungyeol running, laughing, enjoying the otherwise freezing, messy snowstorm of a day.

Myungsoo was pulled from his throughts when he heard something shuffle on the floor beside him. He peeked open an eye and was face-to-face with Sungyeol's sock-covered feet. (Face-to-foot, really.) He trailed his gaze up Sungyeol's insanely long legs and up to his hands, where he held two Christmas-themed coffee mugs.

"I was hoping you weren't asleep," he said with a smile, sitting down beside Myungsoo and handing him one of the hot mugs. The two sat drinking their hot chocolate in silence, Myungsoo watching Sungyeol sway slightly to the carols playing on the computer. He slowly and nonchalantly reached behind his back and felt for his camera. He positioned it in his hand, his finger hovering over the shutter button. He whipped it up to his eyes when Sungyeol closed his eyes to take another sip of his hot chocolate, focused, and shot, the picture taking with a staisfying click.

Sungyeol's eyes flew open. "Myungsoo," he whined, blushing slightly. "Why would you take a picture of me when I'm not even looking?" He swatted at Myungsoo's arm.

Myungsoo giggled. "Aw, come on, Yeol. You know my favorite pictures of you are candid." He scooted closer to the older boy (who really did sometimes act like he was the younger one) and wrapped his arm around Sungyeol's shoulder. Sungyeol nuzzled his head into the crook of Myungsoo's neck, and they layed there together, taking in the warm glow of the fire.

Sungyeol stirred. "Hey, Soo?"

"Mmm?"

"Can we stay like this forever?"

Myungsoo stared down at Sungyeol, winking and flicking him on the nose. "Of course we can," he said softly. "Anything you want. Forever."

Sungyeol grinned, and then he was pushing Myungsoo against the couch, straddling him, kissing him. Sungyeol gripped the back of Myungsoo's neck, deepening the kiss, and Myungsoo moaned pulling on Sungyeol's shirt. Sungyeol ran his fingers through Myungsoo's hair, pulling back and sighing.

"You taste like chocolate," breathed Myungsoo.

"Shut up," replied Sungyeol, leaning forward again and unbuttoning Myungsoo's cardigan. "This is what I want and god damn I want it forever."

Myungsoo couldn't argue with that (and it's not like he really wanted to).

When Sungyeol awoke on Christmas morning, he padded down the hallway to see a three-photo picture frame sitting atop a beautifully wrapped present underneath the Christmas tree. Each picture was of him, taken on the day he and Myungsoo had gone to the park. Himself, laughing as he walked down the road. Himself, trying to piece the snowman back together. Himself, taking a drink of a steaming mug of hot chocolate. There was a note written, laying beside it. He picked it up, and as he read it, a smile formed on his lips.

When I say "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are.

I love you,
Myungsoo

Sungyeol set the note down, and wandered off to find Myungsoo. He was sitting at the kitchen table, slowly sipping a cup of coffee. He glanced to the door, where Sungyeol was standing, the look in his eyes made it almost seem like he had been waiting. He stood and sauntered lazily up to Sungyeol.

"Look up."

Sungyeol looked up. He saw a clump of green leaves, and little white berries. Mistletoe.

"Mistletoe?" Sungyeol laughed, and pulled Myungsoo in for a kiss. He layed his head on Myungsoo's shoulder, and Myungsoo rubbed small circles into the older boy's back.

"Merry Christmas, Sungyeol," Myungsoo whispered into his ear.

Sungyeol gave Myungsoo another peck on the lips. "Merry Christmas, Myungsoo."
