(no subject)
Haven't seen THE EPISODE yet, but tumblr is telling me a lot of good things about it and I see people here going EEEE about it and that is good. :D I'll flail when I've seen it (and also flail about the Day of the Fish Doctor and Adventure in Space and Time, because <333!!!!!), but this is to get a gripe out of the way beforehand.
I've already seen tumblrites (tumblarians?) going "Then why did he have to bring in Billie Piper? IT COULD HAVE BEEN ANYBODY!" and "I'm so glad Billie Piper wasn't Rose; Moffat would have ruined her." Because it's better to leave an established female character out than let ~Moffat~ near her, huh? Surprised I haven't seen any "Moffat is a sexist ape for objectifying Rose by reducing her image to a Bad Wolf fantasy figure" yet. I'm sure that'll come up. But then, I've only seen a couple of gifs -- maybe the Bad Wolf was cool enough to avert that? She certainly seemed so, and I'm looking forward to the cosplays.
Also "For once Moffat didn't kill anybody" was just a few tumblr pages away from "I hate how Moffat never kills anybody, why should I care about them then?" which was only a few tumblr pages away from "WHAT, MOFF WROTE AN EPISODE WHERE NOBODY DIES? HOW CAN THIS BEEEE??" and I lold, because apparently everyone forgot that his first Doctor Who story was the one where "just this once, everybody lives!"
Also if I see another this-episode-was-great post prefaced with "Look, don't hate me, I still don't like Moffat, but..." seriously, internet, so help me and stuff. >.<
Tl;dr Moffhaet makes me alternately lol and headdesk and it's really exhausting, okay?
