Meme on a whim!
1. Favorite place.
Hard to say. One of the local museums, maybe, since they're fascinating and have wifi.
2. Favorite fanwork you made.
Lately? This picture of Tesler (from Uprising). Think I had a technique breakthrough with that one, and someone nearly mistook it for a screencap, which was extremely flattering.
3. Classical novel you wish you never read.
Wuthering Heights. I know, I know, but it was about horrible people being horrible to each other. Don't need that in my head. It's Kate Bush's fault that I stuck it out to the end.
4. First fandom.
The Hobbit, age 7. I memorized the Misty Mountain Song and raged over Thorin's death because that sort of thing wasn't supposed to happen, and then I read it several hundred times and learned all the runes and didn't touch the sequels (until I was a few years older) because who were all those new characters and why wasn't it written like the original?? And then I did the same thing to the LOTR movies. Because I am a stubborn, stubborn purist when it comes to Tolkien.
5. Do you collect anything? If so, what?
Pine cones. Not methodically or anything; I just like pine cones and tend to take them home.
6. Favorite book/movie/tv show/whatever you never managed to be fannish for.
It's... actually fairly difficult to find one, depending on what level of fannish engagement counts. (Planning cosplays but never doing them? Nitpicking characterization?) I think it'd have to be the Nero Wolfe books. I don't seem to have anything to add to those, but the writing, man. The writing.
7. Favorite season of the year
Fall! But there are things I like about every season.
8. Mountains, or ocean?
Mountains. Definitely mountains.
9. Has there ever been a book/movie/tv show/whatever that was so bad you couldn't stop watching?
I've suffered through a lot of really horrendous stuff in the name of finding out what happened, but time has mercifully blurred the stats.
10. Ice cream, cake, or pie?
Ice cream! Preferably chocolate.
