Also I didn't know S3 wasn't cropped to 4x3 on the R2 DVDs. I thought it was just 4-7. I suppose I'm gonna have to pony-up and pay for shipping.

Yeah. It would be less baffling if they didn't crop-in so close in other places.

They have to be intentionally ruining it. There is no other explanation.

Pivot's absurd remastering of BTVS. They're up to 3x22. They cut in stupidly close on the bite scene, yet you can see they pull back completely so you can see the entire 2nd cam crew along with the set piece edges in the scene running from the mayor. Also looks like they edited out the truck Faith falls into when she jumps off the roof.
