Get out and don't come back. After another rather bitter night (-13F), things are supposed to turn around and start warming up to mid-30s during the day and only down to the teens at night. Not too bad. Of course with this warm-up comes another weekend snowstorm, but to me the sense of claustrophobia is dissipating. I still prefer a few weeks of

Yeah, well done! I love your description of being in the countryside at night in those freezing temperatures (though rather you than me). I remember you said you go walking at night sometimes.
Tumblr really gets on my nerves too. I can't see myself ever getting to grips with it properly. And the only times I've even wanted to was when someone who I suppose must be a BtVS BNF over there has said something I don't agree with and that, even though I've seen it a gazillion times before (though I'm sure the person thinks they just thought of it) I still want to argue the toss.
Buffy season 10 is decent enough fanfic. It's just a pity about some of the earlier stuff. I didn't like season 8, but it would probably have been bearable if Brad Meltzer had been kept well away from it.

As long as it's clear and calm, it's really not that bad. There is no moisture in the air, so you kinda have this thin buffer around you. Not that I'd want to live in a climate where it's common, of course.

Yeah, the new fans do seem to think they invented the fandom.
I think 1-7 of S10 is pretty much a mix of S8 and S9. The stupid Drac arc and the tanning beds and the apparently all blessed objects can kill vamps suddenly nonsense. The Sunnydale arc through now really isn't too bad. It really seems like they figured out which story they wanted to tell. Which I guess Bangels can call another S2 throwback, but it's true.

I'm afraid I have to stick up my hand and defend the Dracula arc slightly, though. I know it was stupid, but I just find the Xander/Dracula stuff hilarious.

I didn't mind the Drac stuff itself. It just fell into the S8-ish pattern of doing something too big too quickly and it's hand-waved in, then hand-waved out. They wanted Drac so they had the group do something stupid to bring him in, then they went to big and had to retcon in the Redwood building nonsense to get rid of him.

Tumblr does seem to be the place for social justice warriors, a lot of the posters over there seem really young and super-serious about feeling important. Some stuff is valid and needs discussing obviously, but for some of it you just have to take a step back and not engage :P
And yeah honestly I think that people get O/T with their laughter at how terrible the 90's clothing was on Bts. Xander and Willow were supposed to be nerdy and wear quirky clothing, but I thought that Buffy had plenty of pretty outfits, Cordelia too I suppose. It just seems like the popular viewpoint these days is to laugh about the fashion on Buffy, but I always thought that each season dressed Buffy in an interesting way

More like all of it. They seem to get really belligerent if you point out they're wrong about things. I installed a blacklisting thing for a lot of it, but it feels wrong. :P

It wouldn't bother me if they actually made fun of it. Fans have been doing that for years. They don't seem to, though. They just say LOL!90s and...that's it. Like they're repeating a joke they don't really understand. See also: The technology. OMG, look at that laptop! whatisabeeper!? Bah.
