I always thought it must come from that scene in Bad Girls where they're dancing together all sexy at the Bronze and pretty much ignoring the boys around them. But even so, it does feel to me that they're not really ignoring them so much as showing off that none of these boys could ever keep up with them. Er...or something.

In other words, I don't get it either, especially not from Buffy's side. I think Faith would be more willing to experiment, but I agree. She doesn't so much want Buffy. She wants to be Buffy.

To be fair, they may well be the first person they've seen espousing said view, given that - if this is Tumblr we're talking about - many of the fans on there think they're discovering all these things for the first time ever.

You see that one gif'd a lot. My take was they were getting the boys around them worked up. It was pretty telling that B immediately jumps on Angel afterward. Another thing is Faith originally supposed to kiss Buffy on the mouth in Enemies. Apparently this would have made it shippy...somehow. I guess they watched too many fanvids and forgot Faith had her tied up to be tortured in that scene and wasn't kidding about it?

Oh, that was just a joke. Prefacing opinions is a pet peeve for a lot of people. At least the ones I normally talk to.
