First of all, quote of the night:
"It's your birthday facial, get over it."
Thank you, thank you.
Thursday dinner:

strong woman!
Friday:
Pissy Dustin.
AJ eating, via sk.
The long walk back.
I broke that dress twice in one night.
Where is your hand sir!
Waiting for the show to start.
So for all my lack of planning my birthday turned out amazing. Slept in, decent meetings, Dustin, AJ and I rolled into the ATL (okay, Gwinnett, whatever) by 5 and started working. Gwinnett Arena is crazy about promotions, they won't let you do anything. We chatted it up wth the radio people about this, then hiked across the parking lot to eat noodles. Tummys fulll, we hiked back and after confusion over my camera we were finally inside, drinks in hand, for Gym Class Heroes.
My boys! I'm way biased talking about them because I just love them as people so much. The sound was great (kudos Paul), but the lighting was too dark for me, it was hard to see Travis' face, which is a shame because he's so expressive. I can't complain much, though, we had front row seats (thanks!) on the sides, thus great views. Marc's custom clan hoodie is hot, as is his wacky costume. It really confused AJ, he had no idea what was going on. My Gym Class shots didn't come out great, but here's one anyway.
Caught my favorite, Paul, on his way back and made plans. Kind of ignored The Format, then completely ignored The Starting Line in favor of a trip to the merch, which resulted in running into my other favorite, Disashi. Looking fly, as always, with his camo headphones. He was being a total sweetheart to everyone and I had to wait a while to talk because I felt bad cutting in. Plans made, went off to sit down for AAR.
Oh All-American Rejects. I swear Mike Kennerty was going to pull something moving so much. Tyson is less douchy every time I see him, but then he is also a total goofball. Nick Wheeler is having sex with you via guitar at all times. No, seriously, even right now! He makes the most rockstar faces ever.
Oh, and then Tyson dressed a blow-up doll named Nancy in a bra. And then kicked her and popped her. I have video.
Don't pop Nancy! Post show working, everything went super-fast. Then girls got to glare at me as I moved my car backstage and parked horribly. I'm a terrible parker, always. The new Gym Class bus is tiny, so i got to make a new friend named Dia and sit on her lap. We bonded over our love of Metal Mike. There was also a tiny dog on the bus, in a sweater! The puppy wouldn't let me pick it up, though. Birthday parties, i tried to make myself drink beer even though I hate beer. Thanks to Marc my sidekick is all pimped out in GCH. Then Paul and my boys and I rolled out to Atlanta to catch up. GCH needs to come back south again when I'm in town (grr, missing the Charlotte show with Cartel, but for good reason -- Cobras!), they're too much fun.
Also, FYI, those FOB dates with GCH are so very not true. For one, GCH is going to the UK. Also, er, bullshit.
Also, I'm famous! Sort of! I'm on the Riding Shotgun with GCH show, episode 5. Outside after the Chicago shows. You can see me about halfway in? I wave like a dork at the camera! My friends are on that and episode 6.
Watch it! (Six also features half-naked Gabe dancing and Ryland singing, if you need more motivation.)
