This has been sort of an insane week.
It started out on Sunday afternoon/evening with the Fall Out Boy video shoot for The Take Over, The Break's Over out in Brooklyn. It was there I met two of my favorite new people, Natalie and Stephen. As part of the of-age crowd we passed the time talking about life and feeling superior to everyone around us. ;) We also shot the video, and while I don't want to give spoilers I will say that the last few takes were some of the most fun I've had ever, just crazy insane release.
Then Tuesday I went out to TRL with Nat to see all of the civic tour and met my another new favorite person for the week, Tori. The show as fun, and seeing everyone was great. Then Nat, Tori and I went to get sushi (Nat's first time!) before we started our journey on Long island railroad to the show.
Cobra opened and definitely commanded the stage even as openers (reverse headliners). They're just meant for the spotlight.

Cobra bless now...Bring it. After them I wandered around to look at the overpriced food and merch and ran into Lauren Ashley, so I took a cute picture of her.
Then back for a bit of Paul Wall and then more wandering until TAI took the stage. I haven't seen them since Irving Plaza so it was such a thrill. The new songs mix in well with the old, the set felt very lively.

LAX to OhareNeighborsEverything We Had I accidentally missed almost all of +44, but I did manage to see them cover a Blink song so that was nice. Next was Fall Out Boy, and they've really managed to use the possibilities of an arean tour to their advantage (even better than last spring's tour). The video production and set was more interesting than before for sure. I took way too many shots.

Cobra, Paul Wall, Tai, +44Fall Out Boy After the show we booked it back to the city to party, and I didn't make it home until 3:30, but it was worthwhile. Last night Joyce came to visit me and we saw Journey's End on Broadway (really great, deserving of it's Tony nominations) and wandered the city talking about how awesome we are. It has been a good week.
But the best part about this week is we finalized all our plans for Summerfest, so i will be seeing my girlfriend in less than a month. I can't express how excited I am about this. Girlfriend! Bands! Girlfriend!! \o/
Man there's a lot of media in this post. Go look at my flickrs, I like having high view counts.
