Well now, that one hurt. Very beautifully written and sincere, really felt for Paul you know? My favorite aspect of this had to be you juxtaposing the game of hide n seek in with Paul finding about about John's passing. Brilliant!

This was so heartbreaking...started so light and full of fun, but ending so sad.
What a stranger would want with a forty-year-old Teddy Boy with the wrong clothes on and two little boys instead of a pair of thick rimmed glasses, Paul will never know. Oh dear....this hurts so much.

Brilliant piece of work, loved this in spite of all the sadness.
Write more, will you?

WOW. I really reaaaaalllly loved this one. You're absolutely perfect at tugging on my heartstrings! It also plays into the way Paul was in such shock after hearing about John's death. When the press caught up with him after visiting the studio and he made his famous "It's a drag" remark; I was wondering what he was doing there in the first place? He's obviously wasn't writing. I think he was searching. You story captured the purest, most bitter-sweet feeling of that. Ripping apart your house, searching for the one that was stolen from you, knowing you'll never see them again... Beautiful. I hope you write more soon, because I am lovin' it!
