OH WONDERFUL. I loved it. It was just perfect, what I needed, the whole she-bang, all of those things you say when you like something.

I liked the idea, the idea that you could play melody on a piano. It flowed nicely, took you on nice ride down the river and you got off satisfied, ending with a note of pleasant rememberance.

Feel that? That's the ache in my heart. That was so...elegant! I love the way you seem to paint the scenery. And I heart going on Billy Joel binges!

Beautiful Beautiful story. :) I'm feeling so nostalgic now! As a side note, sweet painted lady is one of my favorite Elton John songs lol. (the music you were listening to when you posted) thanks for posting! I'm gonna go bend my heart back into place. :D

Oh whoa. Paul so pissed out of his mind that he doesn't recognize a somehow-John... Intense. I hate it when Paul says "must have lost him somewhere along the way" (which means I love it) because that's exactly what happens. You lose people, and sometimes you don't remember, especially when you're too drunk and old and tired. I hate thinking this could happen (if there was a somehow-John somewhere).

And I love the subtle use of a phrase from Rocky Raccoon ("fool unto himself") and of course Piano Man.

Poignant.

This was brilliant beyond words! I always had the feeling Paul is dreaming, stepping like a child through a wonderful painted scenery.
