...that I'm actually thinking about joining the military. I don't really want to, but at the same time I don't know WHAT I want. I know I want to work with animals. At least dogs. I can do that guaranteed in the Marine Corp. (Well, more guaranteed then around here.) They'll give me the specific training I want. I don't have to go through bullshit

I do not believe the military is a place that would be good for you. You're a sweet-hearted, soft (in a good way!) and loving person. The only people I know who do well in the army either start out or have to become cold, harsh and "outwardly" strong. I haven't ever known a truly nice person who has done well in the military.

And with Michael... it's very hard to let go. But if you let someone crush you, you will never forgive yourself. Hating yourself for letting a man break your heart over and over is a FAR worse fate than the scary phase of newly-single floatation. You will find a solution if you keep yourself open to one.

I sound like an angry lesbian here, but, you can survive without a man. :p

Especially since I spent several years letting someone crush me. I'm still getting over it.

The military is not a good answer when we're at war. Have you thought about maybe starting your own business? Walking dogs, groomer, etc.?

I can't help but think that that would be a fruitless effort because just one yellowpage search for groomers and you get 5380568123907 and a lot of them go to school for some of that >.o

Hey, if you need to talk, I'll make sure I'm around. I know these emotions hurt and they're even worse when you feel alone--I'll be here. Life never gives you more than you can handle...it won't be easy but it's always possible. You will get through it, and you have a lot of friends who care about you.
