It's good to hear from you. Hopefully you can start kicking school's butt. It's great that you were in a school play, it's great experience with public speaking, and exciting, too.
My family is going to see Deathly Hallows this week. We just need to watch Half Blood Prince first to refresh our memories (not mine, but my kids forget). I do believe you need to have read the books to fully experience the movies though, since there is so much background story in the books.
