What can Luke say to make it better. Nothing. What can he promise to make Reid feel safe in their love again...Nothing.
But yet, what else do you do when you've known a love this deep? You can't walk away and pretend it never happened. You can't try to find something else in life to take it's place. Nothing can compare.
Like dpracket said, they have to take baby steps to keep moving forward, to accept these 'new' people that they are because of this 'thing' that happened to them, to keep trying to heal the damage done, until they can love each other again, anew.
