My original Ipod is dead (It was 30 gig Ipod photo). In looking to replace it, I've decided that I want an Ipod Touch. I don't want an Iphone. Do any of you have experiences with them? Like them? love them? meh?
I have one. Love it. It might be different (as far as whether I'd use the personal management apps) if I didn't also have a PDA and smartphone with those same apps, so from my point of view I use it mostly for playing media (which is the point of an iPod, still, isn't it?) And the apps are cool too, don't get me wrong. Neat little toy.
So I got the 2nd Gen 32gb Touch. Oh, boy. I love it. So shiny... my precious. The media player is the main reason I got it, but the apps... So FTW. I especially love the app that lets me remote control itunes running my machine at home. So now I carry 2 things which perform 3 or 4 things reasonable well. Nokia N82 functions as an excellent camera, phone, and has a slew of symbian apps which I find useful. The Ipod Touch media player (photos, vids, music) and a great slew of apps. If only I could get them to talk to each other.
I am however terrified with how google maps running on the device knows where I am. I need to research that one. something about a 3rd party service that maps APs.
