Had a nice short visit to Ottawa for the weekend. Family, swimming, and kayaking with math_foo as jets flew by, in formation even.

Thanks to the very generous support of my mom and an Aunt, I purchased a happy pretty MacBook yesterday. The cheapest model they had. I am in love.

Productivity took a bit of a dive, but with my setup now I think this is ( Read more... )

Your first non-386 laptop!? Wow, how many laptops do you have? :)

non-386 laptops... I've gone through a few (hand-me-downs, or co-owned with family). good times :)

err... don't MacBooks come with Intel x86 CPUs?

I, on the other end, have recently obtained a non-386 desktop (AMD64). 64-bit Linux here I come!

Yes, my MacBook has an Intel processor.. it's x86 but not what I meant by 386. My other laptops were all 386, as in, between 286 and 486 :)

Heh, I see... I don't even think I've ever personally seen one of those (386 laptops). I remember having a 386 desktop though :)
