How come that video isn't working for me? It's just showing a blank viewport.

dunno. do any google videos work? it needs a fairly recent version of browser-flash iirc...

No, I guess none of them were, but I fixed it now. I had to download the Flash player from Macromedia's site; Ubuntu has a different one that can only handle up to the Flash 4.0 format.
