I'll be at the WCF retreat, so that's one good reason for going. :p But, seriously, if you don't end up going, I'd love to meet up with you afterwards to chat and stuff.

fixing bad perl scripts and writing bad c++ code

Well, at least that's an improvement in the overall badness.

even *gasp* cooking (sorta)

I haven't seen you cook a darn thing except rice and chicken nuggets, with Deanna's help. Unless you count pizza pockets.

That's funny. Have you ever read the Unix hater's handbook? It's got a bunch more funny things that the command line can print, including:

> make love
Don't know how to make love. Stop.

(assuming there's no file named love in the current directory.) Though that one only appears on older versions of make.

The rice and chicken nuggets thing might actually be true ... actually no, I saw him make spaghetti once.

WCF is on my mind a lot. Everything is sooo... political, which seems a tragedy.

I forget who it was who said "Office politics are so petty because the stakes are so small." Regardless of the organization, there are always going to be those who will try to empire-build, and those who will follow anyone who seems to be a strong leader - no matter where they're leading. The solution is to make sure that you're one of the leaders, and that you're leading somewhere good.
