Obama is probably an INFP

I've been studying our President-to-be Barack Obama, and although I often avoid trying to type people I haven't met, he seems to have very clear INFP preferences.  I just finished reading his first book, Dreams From My Father, and it seems like a classic INFP journey for inner harmony and emotional integration (a very good read too, BTW).

why because I don't believe in the rhetoric that Obama spouts? Because I think for myself and abhor getting preached to by ANYONE? I'd take the same tactic if they said McCain or Clinton was an INFP.

And I find it very odd that an Introverted person would go into poltics - it usually takes a measure of extroversion to run for office. This post was simply an excuse to do some viral marketing on the part of the poster. And that I find offensive.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately too, as I read the Chicago Tribune's David Mendell's biography of Obama. Although he definitely has the extroverted competitive exterior, he also shares the idealism, sensitivity to inequalities, strive for balance, written expression skills and the perfectionism of an infp. I'm just starting to really analyze it now, and if it's true, that definitely explains why I feel this really unusual affinity to him.
