Slightly odd day, I decided to work from home today and was organised enough to load all my working files onto my laptop before taking it home last night. This is usually to guard against our home internet being down. However this morning I found that the main power cable for the office has burnt through! I'm not an expert on wiring but you'd have

Watching the local pigeons nest is hilarious! They know they're supposed to build a nest, but never seem quite sure why- plastic spoons, drinking straws, bottle tops- you name it! :o)

The poor air quality has been noticeable here since the weekend - before they started talking about it on the weather etc. I was already coughing randomly and having trouble breathing if I went out at all and then I had to wear my face mask for most of yesterday afternoon (because I went somewhere which didn't distinguish enough between indoors and outdoors).

There has been some increase in the bird activity around here too. Eg the starlings seem to have returned as well as all the other resident birds chasing each other around (for territorial feeding or mating reasons).
