We still don't have enough bees and butterflies in the garden, but we do seem to have quite a few different sorts. I've identified hairy-footed flower bees (female) and I think a brown bumblebee, plus various other hoverflies and bees, all a bit hard for me to identify as they don't stay still. We're hoping last year's bees come back - had a nest by the front door, of tree bumblebees. After a bit of research and some advice from the local wildlife trust, we let it be and had a lot of fun just watching. The male bees would all hang around the entrance, watching and waiting for the queen (once it was pointed out to us, it was obvious they were all hovering and facing the nest entrance). Made a change from the usual wasp's nests, anyway!
