Ok... I'm really not proud of being an alumna of EMU... I wasn't from the get-go, but this makes it even worse:

MSNBC just had a story on at about 10:30 this morning saying that Fallon's in deep shit because he knew as soon as the Dickinson case happened that it was a murder. He also knew that the murderer was a campus student and played it off like ( Read more... )

I agree with you on a lot of levels. Fallon should be fired, not only because he failed us, but because he tried to scapegoat Jim Vick--a man who has given this community years of selfless service. The only point I take issue with is a personal one. I take great pride in being an EMU student; I am, and will always be, proud to come from EMU. The fact that we continue in spite of fools and scandals is a great source of pride. We do a lot with very little. And though this campus is delapidated, and as some say "ghetto" (code for: has black people), we produce amazing teachers and damn fine scholars. Yes, let's get rid of Fallon and fix this place. But you have every reason to be proud of this school.

I agree. Eastern has awesome faculty, but I think they could very easily lose them with all the crap that's going on. I don't think I got the best education possible, but I think the teachers did the best job possible with what they had to work with (between admins and facilities.)
