The African American community IS shitty towards the LGBTQ community
that is a fact
but there ARE indeed racial issues that are covered up in the LGBTQ community as well

I saw these too. But black people only make up like, what, 10% of California voters? This is not what threw this.

I had posted recently about talking to a few people at my school, who were black, about Prop 8... but to my experience, that was an isolated incident.

I would like to think that we can all support each other... but apparently, that's going to take a lot more work.

actually only 6%
and there are only 9 counties in California with black populations over 5%
In 6 of those 9 communities the African American community voted no on 8

I think that this was the biggest thing, there was no human face, and as I said in my post it was all tell and no show. . .PLUS-- it seemed like Yes on 8 was 100 ads to 1 around Nor Cal.

yo i'm not in cali, but i totally feel you on this. everything i've been seeing about the black vote the black vote that, is straight bullshit.

but our mighty 700 thousand actual voters caused the prop to lose
by over 2.5 million votes.
I swear people haven't actually analyzed the numbers of this past election at all.
oh yeah
the only 2 groups that voted in favor of McCain in the nation were
older voters
and
the white LGBT community

We should be blaming republicans they voted 82% versus 18 percent and their are a lot of those guys. Whatever they blame my race all 52 percent the only other race that voted in favor of 8. I also dont agree that we should be blaming people because of their race, since it really about their political view point.
