Going, going...

Where the hell did this come from?

Jamie's adopted Russian Blue, Topo, is sick.

He was fine yesterday...and all of a sudden he's listless, won't move, and is meowing like he's in terrible pain.

He's only nine years old; he's still too young to just up and die on us like Gandalf did.

It's not fair...I was finally getting to really like him.

I had a Russian Blue and the same thing happened to her. And she was only like 5. She was totally ok, then she developed breathing problems. She was very tired all the time and was panting a lot. Or huffing. It was like really sudden. We found her the next day curled up with her kittens...

Luckily her kittens were old enough to survive without her. Maybe it's something in the breed?

some dogs and cats can be heart breakers *hugs* I still miss my dog, we have cats now, I like the cats and everything, but it's not like having a dog.

OMG. X_X Take him to the kitty doctor, like, now. *_* Even at nine kikas can get sick and have to go to heaven, my Bunrie did. The baby needs to go to the kiki doctor!

I'm gonna be worried about this all night now. *_* I wish I was there so I could have a look at him.. *whine* ;_;

Thanks, everyone. Just showing you care means a lot to me. :)

*hugs a Zeiros-kitty*

I'd never had a Russian Blue before now, and I think it must be some breed problem. Topo's brother Ari goes into coughing and sneezing fits on occasion, but Topo seems to have just quit living. He's hiding under the couch right now, which we'd have to move to get at him. I don't know if he's eaten or drank anything since yesterday...*merfs*

I know how you feel too, Yugo. It's been two years since I got the news that my mom's mastiff Pelé passed away, but it still opens a fresh wound whenever I think about her. This situation with Topo just brings that out worse...

I'd take him to the vet if we had the money. As it is, I don't know of any nearby pet clinics who'd treat the poor bugger for free.
