In which I poke some bacteria (and Twilight rip offs suck by default)

Today, I smelled some bacteria. Yep. It was the first day of my "field study" in the micro biology dep. at the hospital, and this was definitely one of the strangest things they showed us xD Smell is apparently an important tool when it comes to identifying bacteria colonies... Kind of makes me wonder what the hell kind of job I'm going to get oO

Important question. Did they actually refer to it as the Gem of Amara? Because even if they didn't, that is epic fail. If they did, then the failure goes way beyond epic.

I'm so sick of emo!pires. Could some actual vampires please stand up? You know, the sort that don't CARE that they are evil and come out at night and drink blood? The HOT sort. I would like some Spike please. NOW.

OH GOD YES! Is a couple of old fashioned, badass vampires too much to ask for? :/ And btw, is it worth my time to watch True Blood? I only bothered with the first two eps because it seemd like yet more teenage-drama-romance-emo!pire-fail to me DD:

And no, they did not actually call it the Gem of Amara. But it was a bigass ring that made it possible for vampires to walk around in daylight. You do the maths >.<
I think I would have had a complete geekgasm if they had somehow used that name though...because making refrenses to other 'verses has always been one of my very favourite things in movies/tv shows :P If that had been the case I might even have ended up watching the show in hopes of catching some other small hint of Buffyverse xD

That's so very true - the teenage/way too old vampire thing has already been done plzkthxs! Actually conecting this show to the Buffyverse might have made me watch it though, because that would be kind of original and exciting. But oh no, the word "original" has apparently been banned from...well, most of America >.< Le sigh.
Heh you are totally allowed to like Angel and Louis :P They are some of the oldest ones, after all. And I feel that they belong to a kind of existentialism, rather than the "I hate the world and I hate myself, but only until a beautiful and super-pretty woman show me what it's like to love" thing.
And in the name of everything vampiric, why can't people read the VC in stead? Anne Rice's vampires are just better.

I agree - Twilight could have told the exact same story with normal high school kids. It's not like there is any actual plot, one way or the other...
Hehe they ARE whiny and broody, but we like them anyway <3 Or I don't care much for Angel erhmm But who can resist Louis and his oh so tragic exicistence?
