Quite so. Bloody stupid people getting all hung up on bloody stupid things - what's marriage but another ridiculous tradition that gives everyone a headache? (a friend of mine spent the last two years planning her wedding before finally giving up and deciding to elope. It was that or have a nervous breakdown, she said. Watching her try to wrestle with a million idiotic traditions with hefty price tags might have soured me on the whole concept, I admit...)

Unfortunately, God is still pretty new to the whole marriage game (or he might have made an honest woman out of the Virgin Mary, am I right? Try the veal!)
