They are supposed to immerse themselves as much as possible and report back only as necessary for around a year or so. They'll probably return at various points to teach the language, customs, etc. But basically, they are living there, as are other "teams", who will be rotating through. Heheheh.

Felix on AI. Hmmm.

I'll leave that to the imagination what Hoshi thought that was. ;) I like Knucklehead!Hoshi.

For real, Felix has an AWESOME sob story for AI. Can't they get sponsored by their Greek ouma as refugees? I assume this verse has a war or something going on so of course they have no papers.....

(btw Dee really needs a plausible backstory. Hoshi, especially with a name like Hoshi, could be some Ukranian bastard from the Soviet years, and Felix is plausibly Greekish, but Dee looks at best like some Turkish whore)

Actually, I think the doctor is so grateful to get the old bat off her hands she doesn't question the three weirdos from another planet who look NOTHING LIKE ONE ANOTHER. Wait until they're outed as 2/3's gay.

They've got nuthin'. Except their tired, poor, huddled asses.

This made me and my little geeky heart laugh so much. Poor Felix will have to learn English and programming languages both! And then he'll deal with Windows. And then he'll discover Linux and weep tears of relief.

"I love him for his body," Felix explained as Dee threw him a questioning look. "What? It's true!"

So, they're in the US? Where? I feel I'm supposed to know where they are but, my geographic knowledge consists of knowing that Canada is at the top of the map and the US are underneath. :)

I'm liking this so far. Love that Hoshi 'forgot' the rug out in the snow.
Cute. Loved the beat about Felix loving him for his body and Dee's look. I know that look I give it friends with interesting partners. Sweet but sometimes not focused. Probably having difficulty adjusting outside of the military sitrep. Oh do they share one bedroom or is there a spare bed for Dee!
