Title: Contained in Water
Fandom: Merlin
Genre/Rating: Short, R for sexual situations
Pairing: Morgana/Uther
Word Count: 504
Summary: If there is magic in this world, it is contained in water.

She dreams of water, a lake crystal and cold, her garments floating over the ripples like a purple sky. She slips underneath to where the light is hazy and rises naked, hearing the thunderous sound of the transformation stone, a song of the old magic buzzing in her blood.

Uther is there in the water as well, mere feet away, still dressed in his heavy robes, stiff and sorrowful, his eyes uncomprehending. His mouth is moving, she can't hear his words beneath the Old Magic's song - he's overwhelmed by its power, the strength of the earth itself.

She realizes she's part of the magic. It lives in Morgana's blood, these ancient ancestors, the Oldest of All and the revelation doesn't frighten her, not even when Uther takes her hand and pulls her toward him through the water, desperate and furious.

His clothes are wet and cold, her skin as hot as a star. She slides against him, wanting him. To kill him, to take him, she can't decide. He's mouthing words about consequences, about chains and death and she pushes him beneath the water easily, holding him there, willing him to die.

Morgana watches him melt beneath the murky water until there is nothing left. Calls to the magic and he appears, naked, his soul rearranged. She can pull him back to the surface with a curl of her finger and he's reborn, a newly made man, king no more.

It's there Morgana kisses him, her tongue sliding between his lips, as fresh and warm as a boy's. His sex is hot and eager against her thigh, the water lapping between them. He hoists her around him, hard hands on her hips and she stares at the stars as he fucks her, an ocean of light.

His mouth is open, his sky-eyes wild. "I would give up everything, anything, for this. For you."

Morgana's fingers clutch at his shoulders, her body taut as an arrow on a crossbow. Her nails rake over his skin, drawing blood and he cries out in ecstasy and pain. The sky opens above them and Morgana awakes suddenly, shaking, her thighs slippery with wetness.

Gwen, faithful girl, runs over, ready to soothe. "My lady, it's all right. Nothing to fear."

"I'm not afraid," Morgana murmurs as Gwen strokes her hair. "I was merely swimming."

Gwen nods, ignoring her, her lips pressed to her lady's forehead. To Morgana this world feels hazy and unreal compared to the knife-sharp clarity of her dream and she wants to sink back beneath the coverlet, pretend it is the water and there is a man there waiting, wanting her and her magic and nothing else.

She would kill to return there and stay. Forever.
