So...I kinda finished Gundam ZZ. Heh. I actually liked it better than Zeta, even if Zeta probably was objectively better. But ZZ really got good after ep 21.
I finally finished ZZ too! So I thought I'd come around to catch up. :)
Either there's something in the air on Shangrila colony, or every holdover character from Zeta is suffering from PTSD. Possibly a combination of both.
I'm placing my bets on the writers thinking "Okay, we need to make sure these new guys don't look like losers, so let's make sure they're good enough to make the viewers forget all about the old cast. It would go perfectly with our new comedy approach.". But in-story, yeah, what you said. The Zeta crew was pretty beat-up by the end of their own show. And I'm guessing there was also an element of confusion when they were suddenly faced with the chaos and craziness that was the Shangri-La crew's methods, after all the "pro" battle they'd seen lately. I mean... oranges. Who wouldn't be a little stunned?
These guys seem more like a team than the Zeta gang didAbsolutely. It stood out to me too. I think it's because all of these guys can actually pilot a suit through a battle without having to be rescued every five
( ... )
I wanted to write about Leina and Sayla, actually. All my fine fic ideas have fallen a bit behind in my mind though, I might have to rewatch some episodes to find them again.
Oh yeah, and I wanted to do a Kamille and Fa recovery fic. Weird, how I suddenly started liking Kamille after he broke.

I've also seen the two movies, but am waiting before Victory. I won't have time to see it before Japan, so I'm waiting until I come home again.
