Another Nanoha example, from the movie with the funky name. Found it on /m/. I... don't remember this happening in the original series. O_o

Gunbuster and Diebuster are CRAMMED with overkill moments, but lemme give you a relatively non-spoilery one.

Well, there was something like it in the series, but it wasn't quite that extreme...

I really, really hope the movie gets a release in the West. Maybe it could scrounge up enough interest that they'd release StrikerS, or at the very least sub it. (I want to give you my money, anime companies! Why do you make it so hard for me?)

I think I should watch those Gunbuster/Diebuster shows.

It reminded me a little of the classic Simon learning to jump through hyperspace in order to punch someone in the face scene from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. (Now THERE is an overkill series if there ever was one.)
