I remember enjoying reading Anne McCaffery. I know people think her stuff went down hill as the Dragon Rider stuff went on... and on... and on...
But this sentence just... leaves me speechless...

Oh dear... it's obviously been a few years since I have read any of her books as I certainly don't remember that comment!

It's when our own sex comes out with something like that that it's really worrying.

Try re-reading Dragonflight, I think its from the same era.

She is a very odd person, but I think at that time she was getting messily divorced and it might have led to some strange, strange things coming out in her writing.
