Thank youuuuuu! I just gave up on checking the thread a few days ago, so this was a wonderful surprise. I am so grateful. The story is so so lovely, I love how despite the quiet tone it's brimming with emotion and unanswered questions. The OC is really sympathetic and her back-story adds so much to what's already going on there. Oh, and Sam's little daily ritual of reaching out in silence to get his cast signed, Dean signing it like a physical expression of the loyalty oath the two have always had -- that just - - that broke my heart completely.

I think you just broke me. The image of Sam's cast being signed day after day by Dean is going to haunt me for weeks and that last scene brought tears to my eyes. Both boys are so broken and hopeless, but still there's nothing and nobody else in the world for them...

Wonderful outsider POV, by the way. You really managed to make Amy a full fleshed character with a beautiful background.
