I couldn't sleep. I saw this and read it all. You have a a way with words that bring emotions to life. The ending surprised me, but then when would Dean ever abandon his Sammy? I also liked the way you wrote the slow arrival of the apocalype. I miss it.

Thanks! Heh, I honestly think this ending is an AU that would never have been, but I'm so tired of the boys not being the brothers they used to be, on the show, so I indulged myself.

Timor Dei

That was epic. I love end-of-the-world fic, and this one felt so satisfying, with all the possibilities hinted at and that one outcome.

There are stories that will make me feel of standing under a sky that's endless, open and vast, stretched wider than you can see, which will always leave me breathless. This fic had exactly this effect on me.

I can't quote every single line I loved, but this little detail really stood out to me, because it said so much about how important Dean is to Sam:

It’s strange, but he still expects the car doors to shut in tandem, on both sides. He still listens for the echoing thunk that doesn’t come.

Oh my, thank you so much! I actually love apocafic so much for pretty much the same reason--the world becomes vast and open, with only a few characters to fill it. Nice to know I captured some of that ♥

I almost lost that line--I had scrawled it on a napkin at work that I nearly threw out. Good thing I caught myself!
