Lovely. Perhaps it's that we'll all delusional, it's quite possible given the heat of the summer. Delusions during heat are actually pretty common and often end in--
[Cutting herself off.] You said embodiment of a country, didn't you? You're Arthur... England, I mean. Am I correct? I'm fairly certain of it--
As silly and it ridiculous as that sounds, I don't think so. It's impossible to be a country, after all. More likely alone the lines of a personification of a country. The ideals it was base off of and who it is as a whole, but that really does sound delusional.
[Wait. What. You can make her snap at you even like this]
Oh? How is being a witch more delusional than believing you're a country?
It is pretty ridiculous, isn't it? [Yeah, he's never getting to used to people using his name as some kind of god.] You'd think if they want us to believe that we've lived here our whole life that badly, they'd at least take away our magic. Not that I'm suggesting it or anything!
Completely. [Well, the HP kids think of you as one so eventually get used to it. Maybe, Merlin.] You'd think, unless of course they are trying to confuse us that much more. Honestly, it's difficult to believe when items from another world are surrounding you.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't know what most of the things here even do, but sometimes I think I do...that probably made a lot more sense in my head, but you know what I mean. I think.

It makes sense, don't worry. You mean to say that the technology in Mayfield is unfamiliar to you, but when this feeling of belonging here is in place you remember how to use them? It sounds the same as the rest of it.
[ Ilsa had ignored the call until the phrase "I found out I was a witch" came across. Now she had to respond. ]
Miss Granger? I'm sorry, I only have a few minutes of clear thought. Whatever you have to test your theory, if it harms none, use it. Illusion, warding, levitation, do it. It's one of the things that... hang on.
[ A few moments of murmuring, and her voice is calmer when she returns. ]
Memories are slippery things. Focus on the ones that fit best.
The only problem there is the fact the spells are in Latin. When I try to think more about them is when I, well, slip you could say. If I knew what they did I'd be less apprehensive to try and it seems I haven't written down what the spells I remember do. There must be something somewhere.
I've written quite a lot, it seems, but most of the spells I hadn't. Not yet, anyway, the journals are long and very thorough. Considering when they were written I'd hardly the time to do so.
I couldn't burden you with something like this, it's difficult enough to keep our heads as is. I have my wand and it does cast when I pick it up, that's... That's enough for me.
Unfortunately I'm not quite sure when I wrote it. Which sounds absurd, but I don't remember doing it-- Oh. No That's not right, I've been working on journals for ages in case something happened.
...So it's like that in Granger-san's case as well. Suddenly remembering and forgetting things and random, as though switching back and forth between two selves- right?
That's correct, it gets more difficult each time I get closer to some sort of truth. Given items, though, I'm forced to believe against Mayfield rather than that instinct.

Two months ago they made us war with one another.
Now we are at war with ourselves.

If I stay halfway, then I'm an upstanding delusional citizen who believes he's the embodiment of a country.

But I could believe that you're a witch. That sounds delusional enough to be true.

So, you hadn't written a personal grimoire yet. Or if you had, you hid it well from yourself.
[ The humming sounds like an old folk song. ]
Okay, my Greek is stronger than my Latin, but if I can keep my head together, maybe I can help decipher some of it?

...That certainly is the best method I can think of to struggle against this. Writing things down...
