I love listening to "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"! I've played it for piano recitals a few times but I don't usually do it at nursing homes because you never know how they'll react down here in the South...

Yeah, that's a good thing to remember in the South. Glad you like Battle Hymn, though! It's up at the top of my patriotic songs list. ^^

Aww, such nice memories. Especially for "White Christmas." Those are such beautiful songs, so timeless.

LOL, it's funny -- I've not. I should just pop in an episode on YouTube instead of waiting for whenever we buy the series. But I think I already like the characters. ^^

No, not yet! But I did get another recommendation of that very film not more than a month ago. It seems Sinatra's jacket was the exact one used by Colonel Hogan!

It is wonderful trivia! Like my friend said, the costume department might as well recycle their stuff. I think I even saw the original jacket on auction for $15-20,000.
