Thank you for linking to the essay. I read it all and mostly agree with it, even though I am on the far left.

There are two subjects the author failed to address.

1. Corporate greed (Enron and the dubious banking practices that led to the current recession come to mind) is never mentioned. Profits are not always earned through hard work and competence.

2. Those who, through no fault of their own, cannot earn their living (such as orphaned children, the severely mentally or physically disabled, those who are laid off and cannot find work, etc.) Are they to be left to starve to death?

1) People have always been greedy. The current monetary system (google "End the Fed") is engineered to benefit the greedy. With real money rather than money from nothing and regulation by market forces, rather than regulation of market forces, the kind of tricks Wall Street and the Banks engaged would have only hurt themselves and the people who believe than theft = virtue

Thanks, but it wasn't me, I was just channeling Ron Paul and Stefan Molyneux. Besides, after having heard the objections a thousand times if I couldn't come up with something that at least sounded rational I might as well become a communist or something.

Oh, and if you do use it, fix my typo "...the people who believe that theft = virtue" or you're going to look as stupid as I feel right now.
