iwarrior's comments about Blacks not doing much about their own plight stung a bit. I won't lie. However, I'm okay with it enough to still defend him because 1) I think it was just an example of the kind of desperation a person feels when they're constantly attacked - and then by one of the few people whom they THOUGHT were on their side (hope that makes sense) and 2) he's right that a number of Black leaders have said many of the same things, although with a bit more tact and prudence. It doesn't completely erase it, but I can let it slide. Nothing like being backed into a corner ( ... )

what you say makes sense, and i was and am on his side. the thing is, i would expect him to be just as critical of my actions if were in his shoes (and by critical i don't mean insulting like many of the folks said there, but critical in a way that brings about self-examination ( ... )

So, where are you now, as far as this issue is concerned? Do you feel like it was all a colossal waste of time or...?

Personally, I think that CBR can survive such things... and should. It's not the first time there was a big ol' SECRET WARS moment no the board and probably won't be the last. Hopefully, some eyes were opened. I'm continuing the dialogue with certain posters, assuming they're willing. Other than that, I'll be heading back into that hole I crawled out of... I do love her though. (I KEED, I keed!)

oh, i still feel as though i did the right thing about telling him how i felt. however, the fact that the thread continued with alot of bashing really left me feeling like the board is full of petty mothafuckas.

damn, but iwarrior makes it really difficult to stand up for him when he's baiting them on and throwing just as much unwarranted dirt as he's receiving.

thank goodness tom closed the thread, but he was about four pages too late.
