I couldn't watch it today. meekikikongkong January 21 2005, 06:19:29 UTC
My mostly republican county school district had an assembly for the kids to watch the anaugaration on tv. Civics and all that jazz. Anyways, I skipped it. I didn't vote for him and I can't say I feel comfortable with what's going to happing with Rice in the office she's been elevated too. I am all for womens rights and I think she's amazingly smart for someone Bush has surrounded himself with. When Powell leaves office that will be the last of the group of people he had in his cabinet that were willing to tell him, "No, this is not doable." Why our first black woman secretary of state has to be a boot licker when she's so damn smart is just really bad for her character. Yeah, she thinks she making strides, but she's really setting us back as women folk by not standing up for anything she may believe in.

Even my Dad's scared. And he voted Bush last time.

condi is DEFINITELY setting women back (and blacks, too for that matter) with her actions. what's the point of being in such a powerful position when you defer all of the power of decision-making to someone else? she might as well be his executive secretary for all the power she's gonna display as secretary of state. then again, maybe she believes that women should only be around as figureheads. if that's the case, then womens rights are about to take a SERIOUS blow.

bush has surrounded himself with "yes" people, which does not bode well for america AT ALL. he has nobody around him to question his actions. everyone will tell him his every move is brilliant.
