I applied for The Job after spending 3-4 hours working on my online resume. I hear you, but I find that I've really enjoyed this season--although that might be more for its constituent parts (I love Amy, and Rory is wonderful, and yes, I wouldn't travel with 11, either, but I love Smith as 11) rather than the whole, now that I think about it.

For me, I think what I've really been grooving on is how there's a subversion of the Lonely God trope that was built up over the course of 10's story going on, and that I hope (and will probably be disappointed, I know) that it continues to build, and become a deconstruction of it.

My trouble with 11, and it's one many seem to share, is that he's not as quick and as clever as he should be... I mean, dude, really, the legend of the Pandorica should have rung huge alarm bells the moment he heard it.

Anyway, I'm choosing to believe that this season is set up for the rest of the story, which'll take place next season. Does that mean this season is less successful? Perhaps, but I'm choosing to look at it as a novel split in two, and withholding judgment for a while yet.

Mike and I watched "Amy's Choice" again tonight (his first time, my second), and I was reminded that these episodes are better to watch with people. So I may give the rest of the season a go. We're very behind because Mike has been working on a short story for the last 2-3 months, so I started watching without him.
