Changing Back
When Enzan returned from the Nexus he still had a whole day to do things and he didn't want to waste any time either.
He first decided to go back to the arcade to try and meet other people his age. Turned out to be pretty easy even though there wasn't a whole lot of kids that early in the day. One boy seemed a little energetic and Enzan saw him as someone he could tag along with.
After the arcade it was decided some roller blading would be next. After buying a pair and after a lot of practice at it, Enzan seemed to be able to keep up with his new friend. They met up with a few other kids for a game of roller hockey. Definitely not Enzan's sport.
With his team losing and some lunch, all of them headed off for a basketball game in the park. This was more Enzan's game and he redeemed himself with helping his team win this time. By then, a few of the kids had to leave but the rest of them went back to the arcade.
The day grew old as they all fought each other, took on deadly sniping missions, drove a few laps going over 200mph, battled in a few wars, and danced it out. Out of pocket change and the night just coming in, all who was left had to go home. Enzan decided now would be a good time to head back to his own apartment.
The first boy he had met and spent the whole day with waved Enzan and shouted back, "See you again?"
A small lump formed in his chest but Enzan managed to give a smile back. He only waved then headed back to his apartment. Along the way he couldn't help but smile to himself. It certainly was a fun and eventful day. Even if he wouldn't be able to see any of his new friends again, they had each other and were kind enough to let Enzan tag along.
Enzan headed inside his apartment and took a deep breath. At that moment the LOL had worn off and Enzan was twenty-one years old again. Eerie timing as if it had been waiting for Enzan to finish his day of being a kid.
He thought for a moment, a shower sounded nice. So Enzan headed off into the bedroom.
