Awkward couldn't begin to describe the way Enzan was feeling at that moment. There was a lot more to taking care of a baby than he realized. He couldn't go straight home after picking up the child, oh no, there were a few trips to different stores to pick up supplies and each time he went through a checkout, it seemed like

Blues was there almost instantly. He had been waiting for Enzan's arrival, eager to meet this infant who could have been Enzan's son. "Hello, Enzan-sama! Hello, Hideaki!"

Still, excited as he was, Blues did not fail to notice Enzan's appearance. "You look tired," he said. He held out his hands. "Would you like me to take the bags or the baby?"

"Take the baby. Take the baby." He did his best to shift bags to one hand to help Blues free Hideaki from the harness.

"He's been fussing this whole time. Could he be hungry maybe?"

Blues was all too happy to pick Hideaki up and promptly cooed at him. "Perhaps that, or perhaps any number of things," he said to Enzan. "He may be tired, or need his diaper changed, or he may miss his family, or some other thing."

Between statements, he made faces at the baby, hoping to elicit a toothless smile. This was probably a side of Blues Enzan had never seen.

It was a different side of Blues and it had Enzan's attention. He had to shake himself out of it and moved to the living room to unload what he bought.

"Do you think he will get confused by us? With me being an alternate of his dad?" He began separating clothes and pulling tags from the food and supplies.
