The door led to the expansive casino floor of the Lucky 38 hotel, the murky aura almost absent now as the renovations continued to reveal more of the glamour that had been hidden by two-hundred years of dust and wear. There was an elevator in the middle of the construct that had been left open by Mr. House, which led to the tower's basement. A good few minutes inside would help hint that they were going fairly deep underground. The Roulette logo of the Lucky 38 was roughly scratched out onto the metallic doors, still in need of a re-painting.

The doors would then part to reveal a dimly lit, monolithic cavern. Massive liquid silos covered in several thick layers of insulation were threaded together via fattened pipes. The undulating silhouette of electric generators and turbines sat sleepily wedged in between rails and other tanks. The underground structure looked about as high as the tower itself, and many times as wide. What lay before her was a dormant nuclear reactor, resting behind a thick acrylic window and softly beeping console. A thick monitor blinked softly, warning that something that something was awry and caused the reactor to automatically shut down for safety.

"This is possibly familiar to you, Caroline.",intruded  the voice of Mr. House with a slight echo,"This reactor is completely automated, which unfortunately is the reason it is not online. The electronics in its computer need to be powered from an outside source, and whatever is currently giving electricity to the rest of the building is not giving enough output to start its systems."

Back in the Wasteland, the reactor was left unpowered as well. The station which provided it's operational systems with electricity was rerouted to suit other needs. As such, it had been transferred over sans electrical power.
