Project is based on memories of Ukrainian culture.
It's said, once there was Divchyna who had put an end to her life. She drowns and becomes an immortal creature.Living her new life she slowly forgets being human, her traditions and attributes of her everyday life.Free spirit, she lives surrounded by nature and is influenced by it's aesthetics.
Traditional Ukrainian clothing and ornaments are a great inspiration in this project, but I only use Divchyna's memories of those, which are also my own memories of native culture. It may be seen in color spots, batik drawings on silk, hand made embroideries. Patterns of the garments are inspired by details of traditional costumes, but the transformation of Divchyna has made them light and flowing.
