I love how Frankie Frankie is, and how Pete Pete is, and Pete and Gerard being out for a whole afternoon, and Frank's appraisal of Patrick as an antisocial prick, and then he revises that and OH GOD PATRICK'S MUSICAL GENIUS. It. I.

It's like there's a hole there, and I can't quite plug it.

Total fucking genius. Its INSANE. and he can geek about music with his boys, but when it comes to CREATING, I wonder how much of his collaboration with Pete is Patrick going "I think the lyrics work here" and Pete going "yes" or "no" at this point. Maybe I am giving the other boys way too little credit, and I'm sure they work very hard to make each song their own, but Patrick is the fucking SOUL of that group.

I kept thinking of the whole "the apprentice surpasses the master" thing.

this is interesting. i can't really see patrick/frank myself, but i really enjoyed the characterisations.

one thing though... i'm pretty sure patrick used to be a drummer, before he was roped into singing for FOB. maybe someone else can clarify yes/no.

No, that is totally true. Frank probably doesn't know that though. And the fact that the kid just TEACHES himself instruments because he thinks they'll add the right sound (see: half the Hush Sound CD)... thats pretty amazing.

And I have no idea why Patrick/Frank is hitting me, and I don't even think its a sex thing, just a... I don't know. Frank likes boys with layers, and I think he's excited to see that Patrick has a bunch of them. *grin*
