and you should see the stuff we have in that collection. it really is quite marvellous.

and if it's a dream job, why not apply? the worst that can happen is they don't interview you, and that's no worse than status quo.

That was what I was imagining!: All the manuscripts, etc. Of course, too, the writers I'd likely meet doing supportive programming ... . Amazing!

I reckon I could apply: I still have a year to complete my program, though, and I think most places there's a policy that you have to be within so many months of completing your degree before they'll even consider you. Maybe I should check the policy: If there's no such clause, I'll be dusting off the resume today!

i don't believe there is any policy so stated, not that i know of.

the collection has rich manuscripts and an amazing collection of recordings (right back to the acetate masters), and a wonderful (and growing) collection of rare materials.

like i said (and i am not on the committee), the worst that can happen is you don't get a call and instead finish your program in good order.
