"Kyung, look at this." I push my magazine under his nose and am about to ask him what he thinks of the utterly ridiculous costumes they put our Girls Generations friends in the other night on MusicBank, but Hankyung's eyes are closed. His head is turned slightly towards me on the couch, and he's fast asleep. I open my mouth to wake him up because this is too good to miss, but the words don't actually make it out. Instead I just stare at him for a moment, because it's like watching a little puppy dog sleeping. He's even snoring slightly, but barely audible. I rarely get an attack of the 'OMG that is so precious' - but this is too sweet. I wonder if he has any idea how perfect he is in this moment, his hair slightly messed up, his chest rising and falling evenly. The lights above us are bright (I know, I turned them up so I could read my magazine), but he managed to fall asleep here, my feet firmly planted on his lap, his hands resting gently on them.
A part of me wants to groan at how mushy I am feeling right now. Push it away, scoff at the way my heart is melting all over the place, but I can't seem to call up that cynical part of me that laughs at everyone else when they get this way. The other part of me wants to somehow get my phone on the coffee table without waking him up so I can snap his picture and have this moment frozen in time forever. I try it, but the second I move even just a tiny bit, his eyes fly open. He inhales and sits up.
"I sleep fell." He mumbles in bad Korean. He stretches and blinks sleepily at me and even I can't resist that.
"I noticed." I smile, and he looks sheepish.
"Sorry."
"Shut up and go back to sleep, Kyung." I say absently, picking up my phone and magazine as if I hadn't been mooning over him while he was sleeping.
"Okay." He says, yawning adorably and closing his eyes again.
Now all I need to do is queue up my camera and wait.
