Bless you, Lar. I was in a similar position between the age of around 7 years to 11. We never asked for it, certainly didn't deserve it. I read the post you mentioned - some of the comments made me so sad, angry, outraged and feeling defiled somehow, others made me remember why I love my online life. Thank god for people like you and for my flist and all the others who can still move me, humble me on occasion and importantly make me feel life is so worthwhile.
