posted, so sorry I can't help further. I was in similar position when I moved from CT to HI, brother/sister Whisper/Shadow. In the end we found good homes- sending *lots* of good thoughts your way :)
I'm in Montana and can't take them. But there's an outfit in Maryland near BWI called Rude Ranch Animal Rescue--they're a no-kill shelter and really awesome folks. Their site is here.
If you can't find someone willing to give your boys a home, you might give Rude Ranch a call--when I was afraid that my ex-husband wouldn't keep our cat (I couldn't), they were willing to take him in.
Got here via a signal boost - do you have any idea how they'd do with dogs? (My mom might be interested, but they have a cocker spaniel - we had a cat when she was a puppy, so she's okay with them - and my guy visits them pretty frequently.)
I don't know how they would be with a dog -we've never had anything but lots of cats around. I would like to think they'd be cool but I honestly would hate to put the cocker spaniel in a position to get scratched. My guys have their claws... :(
You are so awesome for posting. Can I keep you on my list of folks to follow up with?

I've got some emails out to people in that area, and if I haven't got any leads, I'll post a wider alert on my LJ in the next few days.
