Summary: Pretty much an alternate conversation slotted into a scene from the latter half of the ep! It popped into my head as I was watching and I couldn't shake it till I'd written it down!

Hmm, I think maybe I'm a bit stupid or it's too late and my brains half asleep, because I didn't get what the point of Arthur's "secrets" speech was. Is it because he knows Merlin is magic? *brainded*

But other than that, I liked it. Definitely giving us something more than what we got - and I think you definitely captured Merlin's emotions at that time wonderfully. :)

Yeah that was what Arthur was talking about :o) There's a big part of me that struggles with believing that he STILL hasn't figured it out yet so most of the Arthur that appears on paper for me knows about Merlin's magic but just can't quite find the right ways to tell him. So it usually happens in quite stilted conversations and such like, which is why it's a little vague here. But you're right in that it's not as clear as could be, I was't ever quite happy with that section but could't get it down any other way. :oS

No, that's alright. I kind of like it being a bit vague, because you think it might be something else, and it's not until you actually ask or really think about it that it starts to make more sense. I myself also believe that Arthur could only bring it up in an awkward way (and that he is definitely onto Merlin's magic, because I refuse to think Arthur is that stupid).
