It was getting cold in the house, and the pellet stove has been running all day. I'm already wearing a turtleneck, and warm flannel pants, and wool socks, so I turned on the electric heater in my study. Didn't think more of it

at least you know you're not just being wimpy about the weather. 7 is legitimately cold by anyone's rubric, I'm sure. When Maddy and I went to New York a few decembers ago we wanted to be tough and prove we weren't just wimpy Californians who couldn't deal with a little east-coast, but in spite of our best efforts, our last day there we felt freezing outside. we found out later it was 19 F with windchill making it feel like 1. That made us feel better.

But I am a bit of a wimp. it's in the mid 50s right now, and raining, and I was feeling pretty out of sorts when I got my ankles all wet when out doing some outside chores.

hope that pellet stove keeps up...
