Is LJ ridiculously slow to load for anyone else? All the time?

No wonder I'm itching to make new friends and surround myself with beauty and creativity. No wonder I'm always so cynical, bitter, and unhappy - those are the people I'm surrounded by.

So very true; negativity breeds more negativity, and while it's hard to lessen or break ties with people that are like that both because of perhaps longstanding friendships or simply out of habit, it's frequently a worthwhile pursuit.

On a more cheerful note, if you're looking for ways to help inspire yourself and be motivated toward positivity and creativity, I highly recommend the website www.43things.com I've been on there for a few years now and while I'm not always active, when I am I'm glad of it.

As for the negative people, unfortunately I can't cut out most of them, as they are random customers who apparently have no concept of polite social interactions. What I have to adjust is the way I react to them.
